Why did we begin Aotea Energy? I grew up on an island called Aotea. For those that know the island, there is no grid for electricity there. We have always had to be resourceful. And we have always had to find affordable (and sensible) ways to solve a problem. 

New Zealand feels as though it has an identity crisis. We are the land of milk and honey. But are we always only going to be known as a largely rural country with great farmland? To me, New Zealand used to have an edge. A different type of spirit.
